MAIN HALL
Our Main Hall is a traditional community hall with a wooden floor.
The hall is accessed from our main entrance which is level for disabled access. A disabled access toilet and a baby-change are available.
The hall measures 13.5m x 6.8m and has a ceiling height of 2.7m.
The hall is suitable for dancing, parties and concerts. We have regular groups using the hall for ballroom dancing, fitness, yoga, martial arts and baby groups.
The hall capacity is 170 standing or 87 seated.
There is traditional curtained stage with a depth of 3.7m suitable for drama and music performances. The stage has basic lighting and power points. The stage does not have disabled access.
There is a projector with a 3m screen which is over the stage and this can be available if requested at the start of the booking. There is an HDMI wall socket for connecting a laptop to the projector.
There is a sound system and this can be connected to a phone or tablet using Bluetooth for playing music. There are also options for connecting via an Aux cable (3.5mm jack) or USB memory stick to play music. Two wireless microphones are available.
Elmscroft has a TV licence, a PRS licence (for music) and a Blanket MPLC license (for films and copyrighted material) for the premises so you can play or screen any legally obtained music or films as part of your private use of the hall. If you are in doubt about copyright licensing, please ask us before booking.
There are 42 chairs and 16 tables available in the hall and a further 30 chairs and 15 tables stored at the side of the stage. If more chairs are required, please discuss this with us before booking.
The main hall opens onto the enclosed rear garden which is included with the hall booking. The garden is mostly lawn and is ideal for barbecues in the summer and children’s parties with bouncy castles and outdoor games.
If you require a bouncy castle inside the hall, please note that it must be of 2m maximum height due to the low ceiling.
The hall is not suitable for ball games.
The hall is served by our licensed bar which can be opened if requested at the time of booking.
Please note that the main hall does not have a kitchen facility.
